Current beauty favourites!

Hi guys!

How are we all?

So as it’s a wee bit late to do an ‘April beauty favourites’ and too early for a ‘May beauty favourites’ I thought I would give u a run down of my current favourites! ๐Ÿ™‚

image

image

Tony Moly – Banana hand cream

image

image

I am in love with this gorgeously cute Korean banana hand cream! Smells like those foamy banana sweets I had as a kid and is very moisturing and non sticky! I got this in a recent Korea/UK beauty swap (check out my blog post).
If you’re from the UK they sell these on Amazon ๐Ÿ™‚

EOS lip balm (Strawberry)

image

Another recent beauty swap (check out my UK/USA beauty swap post) where I was lucky enough to get one of these ๐Ÿ˜€ Hard to find (and expensive) in the UK but I love the formula of these…nearly all natural and are cruelty free! Keeps my lips chap free all year long! ๐Ÿ™‚
In the UK they can be bought at Topshop, Selfridge’s and at http://www.cultbeauty.co.uk

Batiste dry shampoo (Cherry)

image

For someone like me who has very thick hair that gets greasy quick this dry shampoo is a life saver! No other dry shampoo works (and smells) as good as Batiste!
They sell these everywhere! ๐Ÿ™‚

Too Faced shadow insurance (eye primer)

image

This is a sample size but boy does this last a long time! If you wear eye shadow especially vibrant colours I really recommend this one by too faced, it really makes your shadows look great and last for ages.
Buy from Debenhams, boots or at http://www.toofaced.com

Liz Earle – brow pencil (dark)

image

My favourite brow pencil is this one by Liz Earle…makes my brows look great and is full of lovely ingredients like avocado oil…love!
ยฃ11 from http://www.lizearle.com

Beauty blender

image

My sister got me this from home bargains for about a ยฃ1!….this works amazingly at blending in foundation and concealer… Such a bargain considering most beauty blenders I’ve seen are between ยฃ10-15! ๐Ÿ™‚

Clarins ‘blue’ perfume

image

My mum loves this perfume and Ive always loved how it smelt on her so she gave me a bottle that had about a quater left (she had another full bottle ready).
I really love the smell of this, really clean & fresh smelling not at all sweet or fruity (isn’t it always hard to describe perfume?) It’s the type of scent that suits anyone and is even quite unisex in my opinion ๐Ÿ™‚
Can be bought at Debenhams and Boots for ยฃ32 (100ml).

Thanks for reading guys!

Makeup Revolution lipsticks – review!

Hi Dolls!

How’s you’re weekend?

Today I show you 4 of the makeup revolution lipsticks I got in my recent haul post ๐Ÿ™‚

I wanted to try out some fun colours similar to the Lime crime or OCC lip colours ( without the price tag! ) so when I saw these while browsing the Superdrug site I thought ‘why not’.

image

image

image

image

Felony

image

Ok first of all I haven’t done no lip swatches as I’m not feeling great today so i’m writing this in bed (I started a juice detox yesterday).

‘Felony’ is one of those lipsticks I would never wear in public although if you’re a similar styled person to ‘Queen of blending’ from YouTube or ‘Amy’ from sugarpill cosmetics then you’ll love this…however it’s not greatly pigmented but if you use a lip primer and take your time you can get the style and colour you want, not bad for ยฃ1!

Depraved

image

This is my favourite of the 4! Really pigmented and bright, kinda reminds me of the colour Kylie Jenner wears! ๐Ÿ™‚

Crime

image

Crime is a really vivid bright fuchsia pink & is just as pigmented as depraved. It’s a really beautiful colour and would look great on any skin tone ๐Ÿ™‚

Scandalous Immoral

image

Ok, think Katy Perry….yep this is a scary colour to wear on everyday except Halloween but who cares! You can wear what you want ๐Ÿ™‚ again same with felony it’s not as pigmented as the other two so use a lip primer and you’ll get that Katy perry look ๐Ÿ˜‰

Mac Patisserie and Dervish

Hey Guys

I’m going to do a quick review of my two favourite Mac products for everyday use. The gorgeous lipstick in Patisserie and the lip liner Dervish

image image

The last time I visited the Mac counter I asked one of the make up artists to match me up with an amazing everyday lipstick that suited me completely, looked fantastic and went with everything(I don’t ask for much!) Anyway she did do, I didn’t even look at the lipstick name and bought it. When I got outside I realised it was the shade Patisserie that I’d had before. I’d already matched myself up with my perfect shade, but at least the lady in there had done what I asked๐Ÿ˜Š

image

I just love this neutral shade. I wouldn’t really call it a brown, it’s more like a pale pink but with the depth of a rosy colour and just a hint of brown, or maybe caramel. It’s just very flattering on my pale skin tone.

It’s ยฃ15.50 for 3g and this shade is a lustre. I do love my Mac lipsticks in a lustre ๐Ÿ’‹

I usually use the lip liner Boldly Bare by Mac, but on the same visit, I was recommended the lip liner Dervish to use with Patisserie. Which I then had my heart set on and wanted it only to be told it wasn’t in stock! Don’t you hate it when that happens??? I left disappointed thinking that my new amazing lip look was incomplete. I tried to order the elusive Dervish from http://www.maccosmetics.co.uk Out of stock. Tried to order from http://www.debenhams.com Out of stock and House of Fraser don’t carry that shade.

image image

Obviously I got my Dervish in the end. Look at what a great match they are together!? ยฃ12.50 for 1.45g, I think Macs standard lip liners are excellent value for money…they just seem to last forever and when you find a shade like Dervish, it’s so versatile you can use it with many different shades of lipstick.

I do love a great lipstick and liner so just wanted to share one of my favourites with you guys ๐Ÿ˜Š

Thanks for reading

MUA ยฃ1 lipsticks!!!

Hi Dolls!

I bought 3 of MUA’s ยฃ1 lipsticks to try out. For just a ยฃ1 each I didn’t expect much but was pleasantly surprised at how pigmented and moisturising they are and with such a wide range of products and colours too ๐Ÿ™‚

image

image

image

image

‘Shade 13’ (Red)

image

image

This red shade is a FULL ON red with a glossy finish, I applied with a Real Technique’s lip brush (and lip liner similar to my natural lip colour).

‘Bare’

image

image

This nude shade is ok, it doesn’t apply great on me but for ยฃ1 it’s still worth buying as the pigment is remarkable! ๐Ÿ™‚

‘Persian rose’

image

image

This shade is such a bright, fun pink colour! Extremely pigmented.
To get the most out of these lipsticks (like with all lipsticks) I would wear a lip primer, lip liner and apply with a lip brush for a more precise look ๐Ÿ™‚

If you love colour without the price tag head down to a Superdrug to have a look at the their MUA counter ๐Ÿ™‚

Have a great weekend guys!

MAC Cinderella collection – Fluidline ‘Little black bow’

Hi Dolls!

Happy Monday! How was your weekend? ๐Ÿ™‚

Today I have a review coming from MAC’s latest (and very sold out!) Disney Cinderella collection.

BIG shout out to Louise for waiting until 9am on launch day to buy me this fluidline (early birthday pressie ๐Ÿ˜‰ ) 6 minutes in EVERYTHING was sold out on the MAC UK website so thanks again sis! ๐Ÿ˜€

image

‘Little black bow’ – Fluidline

image

image

‘Little black bow’ is 1 of 2 of MAC’s latest Cinderella fluidline collection (the other is ‘Macroviolet’) it is a dark brown/Charcoal colour with flecs of gold and silver shimmer.

image

image

image

The formula goes on smooth and lasts until you remove it (best to use an eyelid primer). I found it’s best applied after eyeshadow & can be layered for a more concentrated pop of colour.

The shimmer isn’t too much for an everyday look and when it catches the light it looks absolutely gorgeous, really brings out your eye colour! ๐Ÿ™‚ such a great formula for creating those cat flicks.

An overall great product (with beautiful packaging!) Especially if you’re not wanting the harshness of black. Works very well with all eye shapes and colours & will give any Cinders that sparkle ๐Ÿ™‚

Did you manage to buy from the collection?

My favourite blushers!

Hi Dolls!

Here’s a run down of my current favourite blushers….I’m really trying to experiment with colour as I tend to just stick with the same ol’ Laura Geller blush… So…..

image

image

image

Clinique cheek pop in ‘plum pop’

image

My sister gave me this and I admit I don’t normally suit full on pinks (they make me look like Santa!) But this shade has a lovely sheer tone to it, pink it is but ‘plum’ it is not. I apply a tiny amount on the higher apples of my cheeks, I then follow on top using a highlighter powder.

Clinique cheek pops – ยฃ16.50
http://www.clinique.co.uk

Laura Geller ‘Apple custard’

image

Having already reviewed this blusher and shown my love on my ‘February favourite’s’ post I don’t want to sound like a stuck record but I will say I absolutely adore this baked blusher, it really suits my fair skin tone and gives a soft pink/plum sheer glow to my face.

http://www.qvuk.com/Laurageller

(The blusher came in a set… It isn’t sold on it’s own in the UK unless it is listed on EBay)

Bourjois peach shade ’32’

image

I think every woman at some point (in the UK) has owned a Bourjois blusher, they seem to be quite a staple product in everyone’s make-up bag ๐Ÿ™‚
I bought this blusher because I wanted a simple sheer ‘peachy’ shade that wasn’t too pigmented and could be buildable without being too difficult to apply, the only negative thing is it doesn’t last as long as the other blushers but its easy enough to swirl on so I’m not complaining ๐Ÿ™‚

http://www.Boots.com
Bourjois blusher – ยฃ7.99

GOSH  ‘Juicy peach’

image

Woah, orange!!! ๐Ÿ˜‰ so I bought this blusher very randomly about 2 years ago and then forgot about it **Sigh** it was only when I was sorting through a cupboard in my flat that I found it (along with an unopened bottle of Christina Aguilera perfume….win!)…Anyway this matte warm orange/peachy blusher (obviously named ‘Juicy peach’) is becoming a favourite of mine although a word of warning, a little goes a VERY long way! if you apply too much you’ll look like a ragdoll!…unless you want to of course ๐Ÿ˜‰
Apply to the cheeks up to your temples for that ‘peaches & cream’ look ๐Ÿ™‚

What’s your favourite blushers?

Have a great weekend and Mothers day!
