Current beauty favourites!

Hi guys!

How are we all?

So as it’s a wee bit late to do an ‘April beauty favourites’ and too early for a ‘May beauty favourites’ I thought I would give u a run down of my current favourites! πŸ™‚

Tony Moly – Banana hand cream

image

image

I am in love with this gorgeously cute Korean banana hand cream! Smells like those foamy banana sweets I had as a kid and is very moisturing and non sticky! I got this in a recent Korea/UK beauty swap (check out my blog post).
If you’re from the UK they sell these on Amazon πŸ™‚

EOS lip balm (Strawberry)

image

Another recent beauty swap (check out my UK/USA beauty swap post) where I was lucky enough to get one of these πŸ˜€ Hard to find (and expensive) in the UK but I love the formula of these…nearly all natural and are cruelty free! Keeps my lips chap free all year long! πŸ™‚
In the UK they can be bought at Topshop, Selfridge’s and at http://www.cultbeauty.co.uk

Batiste dry shampoo (Cherry)

image

For someone like me who has very thick hair that gets greasy quick this dry shampoo is a life saver! No other dry shampoo works (and smells) as good as Batiste!
They sell these everywhere! πŸ™‚

Too Faced shadow insurance (eye primer)

image

This is a sample size but boy does this last a long time! If you wear eye shadow especially vibrant colours I really recommend this one by too faced, it really makes your shadows look great and last for ages.
Buy from Debenhams, boots or at http://www.toofaced.com

Liz Earle – brow pencil (dark)

image

My favourite brow pencil is this one by Liz Earle…makes my brows look great and is full of lovely ingredients like avocado oil…love!
Β£11 from http://www.lizearle.com

Beauty blender

image

My sister got me this from home bargains for about a Β£1!….this works amazingly at blending in foundation and concealer… Such a bargain considering most beauty blenders I’ve seen are between Β£10-15! πŸ™‚

Clarins ‘blue’ perfume

image

My mum loves this perfume and Ive always loved how it smelt on her so she gave me a bottle that had about a quater left (she had another full bottle ready).
I really love the smell of this, really clean & fresh smelling not at all sweet or fruity (isn’t it always hard to describe perfume?) It’s the type of scent that suits anyone and is even quite unisex in my opinion πŸ™‚
Can be bought at Debenhams and Boots for Β£32 (100ml).

Thanks for reading guys!

Love Nina xoxo ( Ν‘Β° ΝœΚ– Ν‘Β°)

Clarins – Skincare review!

Hi Dolls!

How was your weekend? πŸ™‚

Today I’m reviewing 2 product’s by Clarins.
image

I don’t really ever buy/use anything from Clarins however i received some at Christmas (which also came with the beauty flash balm primer which is reviewed on our blog) πŸ™‚
First of all both of these products are 100ml sized (gift sized) and I’ve just checked the Clarins website & to buy individually they are 200ml sizes.

Moisture-Rich Body Lotion

image

image

I don’t know a great deal about Clarins as a brand (a few of my friends & family use it) BUT this is such a great body lotion! Infact probably one of the best I’ve used in a long time πŸ˜€

It soaks into the skin in seconds leaving a moisturising, non-sticky kind of matte sheen to the skin.
It has a kind of mild citrus/peachy scent which would make sense as it’s prime ingredients are Peach milk, Shea, Candlenut oil & Orange blossom.

Clarins describe this best as….’Visibly minimises the signs of aging caused by the sun, cold, heating and air conditioning’ so not matter what your age is we are all exposed to these elements πŸ˜‰

This is definitely a ‘considered purchase’ so maybe ask at your nearest Clarins counter for a sample to try it for yourself πŸ™‚

Exfoliating Body scrub

image

image

One thing I hate is exfoliators with big ole beads in them that feel like your skin is being sanded to the bone! Well, this is quite the opposite…. It comes out the tube as more like a paste (kind of looks like hair removal cream!) and after polishing my skin in the shower the dry skin on my upper arms & shoulder’s was removed and smoothed after a long winter of heating and jumpers. The skin was beautifully soft and ‘de-scaled’.

The exfoliator uses natural bamboo powders instead of beads which really gives your skin that ultra polished glow πŸ™‚
The scent is very hard to describe, very neutral & clean I guess I would say…very summery πŸ˜‰

The scrub also won Instyle magazine’s ‘Best body exfoliator’ in 2014 and I can really see why, I love it!

Do any of you guys use Clarins??

My top 3 face primers!

Hi Dolls!

Here are my top 3 primers….

image

image

Laura Geller – Hydrating Spackle primer

image

If theirs one primer that I couldn’t live without it’s this one! I love it! Thank you Ms Geller! πŸ˜‰
The Hydrating vitamin rich light cream feels lovely and cooling on the skin and contains ingredients such as aloe vera and cupuacu seed butter.
The primer really sinks into the skin allowing for fast make-up application.
The primer is Laura’s first ‘Spackle’  to have a paraben-free formula, which I love!

LG Hydrating Spackle – Β£19.50

Dior Skin flash primer

image

The Dior Skinflash primer comes in a sleek silver brush head packaged formula and at 15ml it will definitely be a considered purchase, however this primer really has that ‘staying power’ that a lot of primers can lack, especially if you wear very full coverage foundation/Make-up and really makes it ‘stick’ and last.
The primers gives an illuminate glow to the skin on it’s own and really brightens up any dull and dark areas on the face.
Dior describe the primer as ‘Enriched with an energising cocktail of minerals and hyaluronic acid to plump up the skin’ so especially good for a mature skin.

Clarins beauty flash balm

image

This is my favourite ‘All rounder’ primer as it moisturises, preps and brightens my skin and I will often apply this instead of my regular day moisturizer as it really calms and hydrates my skin πŸ™‚
It contains olive & witch hazel extracts as well as bisabolol which helps to give the skin that healthy glow.
This primer really gives my finished make-up look a more ‘polished’ look πŸ™‚
