MUA Β£1 nail polishes -Review

Hi Dolls!

Today I’m reviewing 3 MUA nail polishes I got in my recent superdrug haul πŸ™‚

The polishes are just a Β£1 each and come in a big selection of different colours, however they are quite small but the colours are all so gorgeous so I thought I would try some out! πŸ˜‰

So….I bought 3 pastel shades ‘Truffle Cream’ which is a soft brown, ‘Pistachio Ice cream’ which is a soft mint shade and ‘Ameretto Crush’ which is a lovely muted rose colour…

I wore the ‘Ameretto crush’ for around 3 days and in that time I repainted a few times  (even with a top coat)  it took 2 coats to properly cover my nails however the colour is surprisingly pigmented πŸ™‚

The packaging reminds me alot of ‘Essie’ nail polishes!

Although I found the formula to chip alot I think for just Β£1 each with such a wide range of colours I would probably buy more of these because alot of the time I prefer wearing nail polish for a day at a time instead of several days wear…

Thanks for reading and have a great week! πŸ™‚

Makeup Revolution lipsticks – review!

Hi Dolls!

How’s you’re weekend?

Today I show you 4 of the makeup revolution lipsticks I got in my recent haul post πŸ™‚

I wanted to try out some fun colours similar to the Lime crime or OCC lip colours ( without the price tag! ) so when I saw these while browsing the Superdrug site I thought ‘why not’.

image

Felony

image

Ok first of all I haven’t done no lip swatches as I’m not feeling great today so i’m writing this in bed (I started a juice detox yesterday).

‘Felony’ is one of those lipsticks I would never wear in public although if you’re a similar styled person to ‘Queen of blending’ from YouTube or ‘Amy’ from sugarpill cosmetics then you’ll love this…however it’s not greatly pigmented but if you use a lip primer and take your time you can get the style and colour you want, not bad for Β£1!

Depraved

image

This is my favourite of the 4! Really pigmented and bright, kinda reminds me of the colour Kylie Jenner wears! πŸ™‚

Crime

image

Crime is a really vivid bright fuchsia pink & is just as pigmented as depraved. It’s a really beautiful colour and would look great on any skin tone πŸ™‚

Scandalous Immoral

image

Ok, think Katy Perry….yep this is a scary colour to wear on everyday except Halloween but who cares! You can wear what you want πŸ™‚ again same with felony it’s not as pigmented as the other two so use a lip primer and you’ll get that Katy perry look πŸ˜‰

Too Faced ‘Primed & Poreless’ Primer – review!

Hi Dolls!

How was your weekend? πŸ™‚

In my sister’s recent Too Faced haul post she bought their ‘primed & poreless’ face primer,  unfortunately (fortunately for moi!) it didn’t agree with her so she gave it to Me! Thanks Louise! πŸ™‚ so..here’s my review….

image

image

First of all I just love Too faced especially their baby pink vintage styled packaging, kinda reminds me of ‘old Hollywood’ like the type of packaging that would be seen on Marilyn Monroe’s or Greta Garbo’s dressing table πŸ™‚

image

image

The product kind of looks like a foundation when it comes out the tube but I assure you as you rub it into the skin it becomes invisible leaving the skin clear, soft with pores shrinked.

I liked the way my skin looks with it, even before applying make-up,  sort of ‘airbrushed’…my skin only abit better πŸ™‚

My make-up (powder foundation) went smoothly on top but I didn’t notice anything magnificent, my other primers that I use work just as good in my eyes however if your main problem is enlarged pores then I would defiantly recommend this one. πŸ™‚

Paraben and Mineral oil free it contains ingredients such as Vitamin A & C, Mulberry extracts, Retinol & Alba bark.

Defiantly a primer worth trying! πŸ™‚

Liz Earle – Nail polish review

Hi Dolls!

Today I bring you a review of Liz Earle’s nail polish in 02 ‘Quicksand’.

image

image

I bought this gorgeous shade of soft sand/beige back in February at their beautiful Leeds store.

As many of you know both myself and my sister Louise LOVE anything Liz Earle! I mainly love their Skincare products and my sister the cosmetics but we just love everything! πŸ˜€

A few years ago Liz Earle launched their cosmetic line and I didn’t try any of their nail polish at first but while in their store in February I couldn’t resist especially at all the rave reviews I read and the price, only Β£8.50 for a premium good quality nail polish πŸ™‚

image

They have 12 gorgeous colours and I plan to get more during the summer but ‘Quicksand’ is such a lovely neutral shade that I wanted to try it first:)

The polish itself painted on beautifully with a nice, long brush and non-drip formula. To get the most out of the colour I used a topcoat (OPI). I had about 6 days wear before I noticed any chipping which I think is pretty good as I normally get around 2-3 days from my OPI or Barry M polishes so I was very impressed πŸ™‚

Clarins – Skincare review!

Hi Dolls!

How was your weekend? πŸ™‚

Today I’m reviewing 2 product’s by Clarins.
image

I don’t really ever buy/use anything from Clarins however i received some at Christmas (which also came with the beauty flash balm primer which is reviewed on our blog) πŸ™‚
First of all both of these products are 100ml sized (gift sized) and I’ve just checked the Clarins website & to buy individually they are 200ml sizes.

Moisture-Rich Body Lotion

image

image

I don’t know a great deal about Clarins as a brand (a few of my friends & family use it) BUT this is such a great body lotion! Infact probably one of the best I’ve used in a long time πŸ˜€

It soaks into the skin in seconds leaving a moisturising, non-sticky kind of matte sheen to the skin.
It has a kind of mild citrus/peachy scent which would make sense as it’s prime ingredients are Peach milk, Shea, Candlenut oil & Orange blossom.

Clarins describe this best as….’Visibly minimises the signs of aging caused by the sun, cold, heating and air conditioning’ so not matter what your age is we are all exposed to these elements πŸ˜‰

This is definitely a ‘considered purchase’ so maybe ask at your nearest Clarins counter for a sample to try it for yourself πŸ™‚

Exfoliating Body scrub

image

image

One thing I hate is exfoliators with big ole beads in them that feel like your skin is being sanded to the bone! Well, this is quite the opposite…. It comes out the tube as more like a paste (kind of looks like hair removal cream!) and after polishing my skin in the shower the dry skin on my upper arms & shoulder’s was removed and smoothed after a long winter of heating and jumpers. The skin was beautifully soft and ‘de-scaled’.

The exfoliator uses natural bamboo powders instead of beads which really gives your skin that ultra polished glow πŸ™‚
The scent is very hard to describe, very neutral & clean I guess I would say…very summery πŸ˜‰

The scrub also won Instyle magazine’s ‘Best body exfoliator’ in 2014 and I can really see why, I love it!

Do any of you guys use Clarins??

Lush – ‘Granny Takes a Dip’ bath bomb review

Happy Easter Dolls!

Hope everyone has a great Easter and doesn’t eat too many chocolate eggs! πŸ˜‰

Here is my review for the ‘Granny Takes a Dip’ bath bomb by Lush πŸ™‚

‘Granny Takes a Dip’

image

image

Obviously I was drawn to the shape & colour of this fun bath bomb and it certainly didn’t disappoint!
It has that iconic ‘Lush’ scent and is described as ‘sensory explosion in the tub, a ginger, pepper and lemon-scented bath time experience’

image

image

image

As you can see from the photos/video it visually excites the senses with it’s colourful explosion of loveliness!
It doesn’t fizz-out quick as it’s a ‘slow burner’ bath bomb so expect to be watching it gently fizz for a good 10 minutes πŸ™‚

The scent filled my entire flat it and made my skin lovely and soft.
